Art can be a helpful tool for building social-emotional learning skills and supporting the wellbeing of students and teachers. The need for such tools is particularly acute when working with individuals who have experienced trauma. During this workshop, our partners from Crittenton Children’s Center, Trauma Smart® will provide an overview of trauma and the importance of being trauma-informed before introducing resources that leverage works of art from the Nelson-Atkins to promote social-emotional health.
