What makes an artist’s work truly timeless?
Alphonse Mucha’s iconic style bridged fine art and popular culture. From the sinuous lines of Art Nouveau to the visual language of modern comics, Alphonse Mucha’s influence continues to shape how stories are told through images.
Legendary comic artist and former Marvel Editor-in-Chief, Joe Quesada, explores Mucha’s lasting impact on visual storytelling. Drawing on his own career and artistic perspective, Quesada offers a fresh lens on Mucha’s legacy. Quesada will be joined in conversation by Dr. Aimee Marcereau DeGalan, the Senior Curator of European Art at the Nelson-Atkins and site curator for the exhibition, Timeless Mucha.
There will be a limited number of signed copies of Joe Quesada's comics available for purchase at the Museum Store. However, please note that he will not be signing at this event.
