What makes an artistโs work truly timeless?
Alphonse Muchaโs iconic style bridged fine art and popular culture. From the sinuous lines of Art Nouveau to the visual language of modern comics, Alphonse Muchaโs influence continues to shape how stories are told through images.
Legendary comic artist and former Marvel Editor-in-Chief, Joe Quesada, explores Muchaโs lasting impact on visual storytelling. Drawing on his own career and artistic perspective, Quesada offers a fresh lens on Muchaโs legacy. Quesada will be joined in conversation by Dr. Aimee Marcereau DeGalan, the Senior Curator of European Art at the Nelson-Atkins and site curator for the exhibition, Timeless Mucha.
There will be a limited number of signed copies of Joe Quesada'sย comics available for purchase at the Museum Store. However, please note that heย will not be signing at this event.ย
This program is presented in collaboration with KC Design Week.
