The arts โ and the joy, laughter, and social connection they generate โ are increasingly recognized for the essential ways they support the physical and mental wellbeing of our communities.
Arts and health leader Art as Mentorship and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art join forces to bring together local, national, and international thought leaders for Making Waves: A Deep-Dive on Arts and Health.ย
Through a series of interactive workshops and networking opportunities, youโll hear from trailblazers in the fields of arts and health; engage in creative, collaborative learning; and forge meaningful, cross-sector connections. (Note: workshops require separate registration. If youโd like to register for the workshops in addition to ArtsRX, click here.
The experience culminates in ArtsRX Live!, a multimedia showcase hosted by Art as Mentorship founder and Making Movies lead singer Enrique Chi, featuring industry innovators, live brain scans, Latin Grammy Award-winning artist La Lulu, and more. Featured presenters include individuals and groups on the leading edge of research and building bridges between nonprofits, health organizations, arts groups, and communities in need. These innovative organizations leverage collaboration to address aspects of the arts and health movement in tandem, increasing impact and quality of outcomes for all.
Youโll gain new connections, practical tools, and frameworks for harnessing the power and resource density of arts and health partnerships in Kansas City โ all with the goal of galvanizing a collective local movement.ย
