Society of Fellows and Business Council Event
Members of the Society of Fellows and Business Council are invited to join us for a special double feature showcasing two incredible events:
Survival of the Fittest: Picturing Wildlife and Wilderness | Masterworks from the Rijksmuseum Twenthe and the National Museum of Wildlife Art
Enjoy the Nelson-Atkins' presentation of masterful works of wildlife art from four of the genre’s greatest painters. Richard Friese, Wilhelm Kuhnert, Bruno Liljefors, and Carl Rungius showed audiences what lay beyond urban centers— and brought new visions of the wild into our increasingly domesticated lives.
Building Belonging: Designing the Future of the Nelson-Atkins
As part of our global competition, we selected six architectural finalists to share their vision and ideas for the museum's expansion. This landmark endeavor will build new spaces for limitless art and cultural experiences, ensure sustainability, and inspire more community engagement. After viewing the designs, please share your thoughts and add your voice to help create the next evolution of the Nelson-Atkins!
