Virtual Teacher Workshop: Creating a Podcast

Description

What kind of project can encourage collaboration, strengthen listening skills, and give students the chance to research and speak out on issues that matter to them? Creating a podcast! During this virtual workshop, you’ll hear from the production team behind the Nelson-Atkins' recently released podcast, A Frame of Mind, which explores race, history, and community through the lens of one museum. Join us to learn about the steps and considerations that went into producing A Frame of Mind, and get tips and resources you can use to lead students in a similar podcast creation project.

This workshop is designed to address standards in language arts and social studies for middle and high school grades. The program will be presented in Zoom webinar format, and a recording will be shared with attendees after the workshop.
