Marking the Karen Gould Collection’s first decade, this program will feature scholars from around the nation who will share their research inspired by items in the collection.
In 2012, the Spencer Art Reference Library at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art received an important donation of medieval manuscripts and early printed books from Professor Emeritus Lewis Gould. This teaching collection was built over a lifetime by his late wife Karen Keel Gould, a medieval art historian, and over the last decade it has grown and been used by scholars, students, and artists.
