Behind the Scenes: Discovering Missouri’s Artists
Description
Missouri Remembers: Artists in Missouri through 1951 is a new freely available online website that will document visual artists who were active in Missouri and who have defined the state’s artistic culture. Join us to learn about the artists, exhibitions, and institutions in the portal from the researchers who documented their stories. Researchers from each partner institution, the Spencer Art Reference Library: The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Jannes Library: Kansas City Art Institute, and the St. Louis Public Library will share the unexpected twists, turns and connections they uncovered along the way!
Links to connect to your event will post to your account the day of the event to access them. Experiences use Zoom and are in Central Standard Time (CST).
